Building a Management Culture of Innovation: Lessons Learned from Architects and Designers
Are you interested in becoming an innovative leader? In recent years, the majority of executives identified innovation as a top priority for their organizations. To achieve this, many organizations and business schools turned to design fields for inspiration to rethink management culture. “Design Thinking” emerged as a trend within education, business journals and the popular press to answer management’s problems. Unfortunately, despite the investment in innovation, many organizations are not seeing the results they hope for. What lessons can be learned from architects and designers to build more effective cultures of innovation in organizations? This talk will explore recent research on the way architects work and new teaching methodologies applied in the classroom to create a new type of business professional: the Business Designer.
